Wow! What a find! This Delco Oil Can is definitely old . The graphics are on both sides of the can. They are in really nice condition. The screw cap lid has been soldered on and there is also an air stem that appears to have been added, although I am not sure. This can measures 14 1/4″ in diameter. This “Rocker-Style Can” stands 17 1/2″ tall counting the handle. The top of the can reads: “St. Louis Can Co. 24-5-28 Pour EZ Drum Patent Pend.”
The front (and back) reads: 100% Para Fine Base Delco Motor Oil Independent Oil Lindsay-McMilian Co. Milwaukee” . It also states that “medium-winter” oil was inside at one point.
There are some dings but no holes from what I can see. Wonderful example of Automobile memorabilia.
